Year 6 Little Cayman Trip

Our second Year 6 class embarked on their exciting trip to Little Cayman, arriving safe and sound. The children quickly settled into their dorms and received an informative introductory talk from Ryan. ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ 

Day 1:

Snorkeling Adventure: We kicked off with a fantastic snorkeling session. The children were thrilled to see a variety of marine life, including interesting fish, conch, and even a slipper lobster. The clear waters and vibrant sea life made for an unforgettable experience.
Lunch Delight: After our snorkeling adventure, we enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by a chocolate brownie dessert that everyone loved. The energy boost was just what we needed for the activities ahead.
Class Session: Post-lunch, the children attended a quick class session with Ryan, where they learned about the fascinating marine ecosystem of Little Cayman.
Reef Talk: We listened to an insightful talk on the threats to coral reefs, which sparked a lot of curiosity and questions among the students.
SeaHorse Cafe Visit: Our trip continued with a visit to SeaHorse Cafe for a yummy cake and drinks. The treats were a hit, and the children enjoyed the relaxed break.
National Trust Exploration: Next, we visited the National Trust, where we learned about the red-footed boobies and frigate birds. The children were fascinated by the birds and enjoyed observing them in their natural habitat.
Little Cayman Museum: At the museum, we learned about the Sister Islands rock iguanas and their burrows. The children were particularly intrigued by the iguanas and their unique behaviors.
Dinner and Fun Time: After a delicious supper, it was time for some fun on the beach. The children played games, built sandcastles, and enjoyed the beautiful sunset. The day ended with a cozy movie night before everyone settled down to sleep.
The kids are having a fantastic time, bonding with each other and soaking in all the new experiences. They canโ€™t wait for tomorrow’s adventures! ๐ŸŒด๐ŸŽ‰
