Sports Hall 2020

Our motto for this endeavour is “Building and Growing Together for Our Future!” with the #2020ComeOn Challenge encouraging all those within our community and around the world to support this project.

The aim of this $5 million project is to build a modern, high-quality sports hall. The multi-purpose hall will provide a two-storey facility with 23,000 square feet of much-needed added space.

It will feature:

01

Multi-purpose sports court

02

Moveable partitioning to accommodate multiple classes simultaneously

03

Versatile studio space for dance/drama

04

Locker rooms, bathrooms and a concessions stand

05

8 classrooms

06

Covered drop-off lane

07

Additional parking

08

Community shelter during natural disasters

Based on ‘Sport England’ requirements, the new facility will enhance the physical education curriculum for all children from Nursery to Year 13.

We envision it to be a safe space for children and young adults to develop physically, to keep fit, and to participate in a wide range of sports and extra-curricular activities.

Built to the highest specifications, with sustainable development in mind, the facility has been designed to minimize air-conditioning usage, embrace solar energy, and make use of recycled rainwater.

Fundraising

It's February 2019 and the St. Ignatius Fundraising Committee and school community got together to begin what seemed like an ambitious, but certainly doable task... to raise the final $1 million for our Sports Hall 2020 project.

Fast forward to the Summer of 2019, and mainly due to generous individual donations, we have reached the halfway milestone on our journey toward our goal.

The $500,000 donations are reflected on our model "Giving Tree" (outside Loyola Hall) which is starting to bloom and provide glimpses of the many stones and leaves that will fill the real "Giving Tree" inside our brand new Sports Hall 2020.

But here's the thing...

Now it's up to us, as a community to keep our fundraising barometer climbing day-by-day, week-by-week.

That's where you come in...

We understand that we're all busy and have to prioritize our lives on a daily basis. However, if you have not found the time to make a donation, now would be the absolute best time.

And here's why...

Our target is to reach $1 million by the 31st of December 2019.

Now that may sound like a lot, but we already have $500K...

....so if we all pull together on the same rope, we can make this happen by our intended goal.

That said, let me ask you this...

Wouldn't it be great if you had a modern, state of the art sports facility for your children, buzzing with an array of school, church, and local community events?

What if we all had a safe haven to shelter from natural disasters during our annual hurricane season and other times of need, wouldn't it be great?

And imagine being able to play a small but significant role in building and growing Sports Hall 2020 together for our future, how would that make you feel?

If you agree to any or all of the questions, then here's what we would like you to do:

1) Fill in your details and submit the donation form below and we'll be in touch to complete the process.

2) Alternatively, drop by the school office and pick up a donation pack in a posh looking envelope that will make you feel like a member of the Royal family receiving orders from the Queen!!

Our students, staff, and community thank you wholeheartedly for your support in making Sports Hall 2020 a reality.

Fill out my online form.
