Welcome to St. Ignatius Catholic School!
A warm welcome to our St. Ignatius Catholic School Website.
Established by the Jesuits over 50 years ago, St. Ignatius School is known throughout the Cayman Islands and beyond as one of the leading educational institutions in the community. The principal mission of the School is to build on the solid foundation of academic excellence in the service of Gospel values and the holistic formation and development of our students.
With over 690 students, our dedicated and qualified senior leadership team and faculty work diligently, in collaboration with parents/guardians, to ensure that each student achieves his/her highest potential in a safe, supportive, nurturing, and Christ-centered learning environment. To this end, our curricula and intentional instruction are designed for our students to thrive and enhance their learning experience at St. Ignatius.
Our School welcomes children of all nationality, ethnicity, creed, and circumstance. From preschool/nursery to Year 13, academic excellence, strong Christian values, and principles characterized by mutual respect, high morals, generosity, and service are promoted and are the hallmarks of St. Ignatius.
Our students enjoy a wealth of activities and events relating to prayer and worship, drama, music, sports and community service, amongst others, to build their spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional character alongside their academic pursuits.
Our goal is to help our students grow and mature into positive, responsible individuals, equipped with the tools necessary to be successful in the 21st century. In the words of the patron of our School, St. Ignatius of Loyola, our children are being formed throughout their educational journey at St. Ignatius to “Go forth and set the World on Fire” and make a positive impact in their community.
