🦎🌿 Honoring National Blue Iguana Day with a Special Assembly! 🌟

On Wednesday, May 8th, our school had the privilege of hosting a special assembly in celebration of National Blue Iguana Day! Led by the esteemed conservationist, Mr. Ian Redmond, this event was an enlightening and engaging experience for all.

Mr. Redmond, known internationally for his expertise in conservation, particularly with apes and elephants, captivated the audience with his wealth of knowledge and passion for wildlife preservation. Having collaborated with luminaries like Sir David Attenborough and even advising on the iconic film “Gorillas in the Mist” starring Sigourney Weaver, Mr. Redmond’s insights were nothing short of extraordinary.

Students from Years 1 to 6 were treated to a fascinating presentation, learning about the importance of environmental conservation and the significance of protecting endangered species like the Blue Iguana. As a special highlight, Mr. Redmond even led us in a playful activity, allowing us to emulate the majestic gorillas by beating our chests in gratitude at the conclusion of his presentation!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ian Redmond for gracing us with his presence and sharing his invaluable expertise. His visit has left an indelible mark on our hearts and minds, inspiring us to continue our efforts in safeguarding our planet’s precious biodiversity. Here’s to a future where every day is Blue Iguana Day! πŸŒŽπŸ’™ #BlueIguanaDay #ConservationHeroes #InspiringFutureGenerations
