FUNDRAISING DURING THE 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR:
Thank you to all those individuals and organizations who have assisted with our fundraising in previous years! We hope you will join us in our efforts as we go forward! Every dollar raised helps to enhance school programmes and facilities, support the scholarship fund, and keep fees as low as possible in these challenging economic times.
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT AND FUNDRAISER:
The annual event takes place on Wednesday, December 14th at 7:00 pm in Loyola Hall, with a wonderful concert featuring our bands and choirs. At the end of the night (about 8:15 pm) we will have the prize drawing for CI $25,000! There are lots more prizes too, including Cayman Airways tickets! This is our largest fundraising initiative each year (a combined effort with the school and parish) so we need everyone to support! Please take a book of ten tickets and sell them to family, friends, neighbours and co-workers. Tickets books are available now from the school or church offices! Deadline to return ticket books is Monday, December 12th.
SPRING FLING - SCHOOL FAIR:

Thank you to all those who supported our recent Charleston Wrap Fundraiser (September-October 2016)! Thanks to all those who supported the annual Christmas Fundraiser in December 2015, and the HSA Charleston Wrap Fundraiser in September-October 2015! We also had great support for the Spring Fling, Golf Scramble, Garage Sale, Spring Tea Party, and the International Food Festival in 2016!
ST IGNATIUS/DOROTHY RICE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND - 20TH YEAR:
The St. Ignatius/Dorothy Rice Memorial Scholarship Fund has been in existence for 20 years. The fund was created to allow eligible students to continue receiving a Catholic Education. The annual fees at St. Ignatius are about $9500 per student. The scholarship fund tries to cover about fifteen to twenty percent of this for needy families. Each year, thanks to the generosity of parishioners, part proceeds from the Christmas fundraiser, and a number of other fundraisers,we assist 35-40 children with school fees. In return for the help the families must volunteer to work at school events during the term and the students must maintain high standards of behaviour and academic progress. We are once again trying to assist as many families as possible, especially in light of the economic downturn. One can never put a price tag on the value of a child’s education. Any donations are gratefully recived. Cheques should be made payable to ST. IGNATIUS and please write "Dorothy Rice Scholarship Fund" in the memo. Contributions may be dropped off to May at the parish office, Doris at the school office, or you can mail them to:
ST. IGNATIUS - DOROTHY RICE SCHOLARSHIP FUND, St. Ignatius Catholic Church & School, P.O. Box 2638, Grand Cayman KY1-1102.
For further information, please contact Jeremy Rice,
Many thanks in advance for your ongoing support and may God continue to bless you!
